How we use your signup details
Last updated: 18 October 2026
Who is responsible
Chris nby Ninepath, at Leuven, Belgium, is responsible for your information on the NinePath beta invitation list.
Contact: support@ninepath.app.
This notice covers the invitation list and its signup service. Joining the list does not create a NinePath app account or guarantee beta access.
The NinePath beta is for adults aged 18 or older. It is in English and is not offered in Canada. We do not invite residents of Washington State. An invitation is not a check of your age or where you live.
What we collect
We collect your email address and, if you choose to give it, your phone type: iPhone, Android or Both. Phone type helps us match invitations to supported builds; it is not your phone number.
We record when you sign up, the version of the consent wording shown to you and, when you confirm, that you confirmed.
We also record the campaign tags in the link that brought you to the signup page (utm source, medium, campaign and content, for example the post you came from) and the name of the website that referred you, to learn which channels bring signups. Our basis is our legitimate interest in understanding which channels reach people. We do not use cookies or tracking scripts for this, and we keep it with your signup until we delete the list.
Brevo stores your email address and signup details as a pending contact when you submit the form, before you click any confirmation link. You join the active invitation list only when you confirm your email.
We do not ask for your name, birth details, country or age, and we do not collect app-account information through this form.
Our application logs never contain your email address or IP address; they record processing outcomes, not form contents. The hosting platform may keep standard request information, including IP addresses, browser details and the pages requested, under its own logging settings. Our application logs and this platform information are separate.
To limit repeated requests, the signup service briefly keeps a salted hash of your IP address in memory. The salt is random for each server instance and is never stored. These in-memory entries disappear when they are replaced or the instance restarts. We do not store or log the hash, your raw email address or your raw IP address.
What we use it for
We use your signup details only to confirm your email and send you emails about NinePath beta invitations and availability. We send these from support@ninepath.app.
Joining does not subscribe you to a general newsletter. We do not sell the list or give it to other organisations for their own marketing, and we do not use it for profiling. The confirmation link records your confirmation, and the leave-list link records your choice.
Your consent is our basis for invitation-list emails: you tick the unticked checkbox and then confirm through the email we send. Giving a phone type is optional. Without an email address and confirmation, we cannot add you to the invitation list.
We handle a pending request and send the one confirmation email because you asked us to, so we can check that the address is yours before adding it to the list. This does not make an unconfirmed person a member of the list.
We use limited technical information to run and protect the signup service, based on our legitimate interests in keeping it secure and preventing abuse.
Who processes the information
We use Brevo, an email service based in France, to handle email confirmation, keep the invitation list and send emails for us. We use Google (Firebase and Google Cloud) to host this website and run the signup function that passes your request to Brevo. These providers process information for us under their data-processing terms.
If you join the beta, we share the email address you gave us with Apple (TestFlight) or Google (Google Play) so they can send you the test invitation, under their own terms. We add it to the tester list in our developer account and remove it when you leave the beta or ask us at support@ninepath.app.
These providers, their staff or their subprocessors may process or access information outside the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom. Where that happens, transfers rely on the providers' data-processing terms, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision. Ask support@ninepath.app for more information about these safeguards.
If you email support@ninepath.app, Hostinger provides our support mailbox and processes your email address, message and any attachments so we can reply. This is separate from the Brevo invitation list.
How long we keep it
We keep the active list only while beta invitations remain possible, and stop invitation emails as soon as you leave. The current beta ends at the end of 18 November 2026. We delete the active list by 15 December 2026, or earlier if there is no remaining invitation purpose. News about a later launch would need your new, separate consent.
If you do not confirm, you are not added to the invitation list and we send you no invitation emails. Brevo keeps the unconfirmed request and a record of the confirmation email under its own settings; we delete unconfirmed requests when they are no longer needed, and at the latest when we delete the active list.
We keep only the minimum record of your consent (address, time and wording version) while we may need to show that you agreed, and no longer than the list itself. If you leave the list, we may keep your address on a suppression list only so that we do not email you again. These records are not an invitation list.
Leave the list or use your rights
You can leave at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails, or by writing to support@ninepath.app. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before you withdrew it.
You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict its use, receive a portable copy where applicable, or object where the law gives you that right. Email support@ninepath.app and tell us what you need; we may ask for reasonable information to check that the request is yours. You can also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority or your local data protection authority.
Leaving this list does not delete an app account or change any separate choice you made in the app. You do not need an app account to leave the list.
