How do I know if I am a life path 3?

What does life path 3 mean in early numerology books?
One early American numerology book is Mrs. L. Dow Balliett's How to Attain Success Through the Strength of Vibration (Balliett, 1905). She wrote that the birth date, added up, shows "the path in life we ourselves chose" (page 38). In her section headed "No. 3", she wrote that "No. 3 is the vibration of expression wherever found" (page 24).

Can life path 3 be a master number?
No, 3 is never a master number. The master numbers are 11, 22 and 33. A master number still has a single digit: 11 reduces to 2, 22 to 4 and 33 to 6, and NinePath keeps both. So 33 belongs with 6, not with 3, even though it is written with two 3s.
A total that ends on 3 never passes through 11, 22 or 33, so the order of adding doesn't matter. Changing the order never changes the remainder after dividing by 9, so every order ends on 3. Your life path comes from your birth date only, so it stays the same for life.

Questions people ask
Is life path 12 the same as life path 3?
Yes. A total of 12 reduces to 1 + 2 = 3, so 12 is a step on the way, not a separate life path. So are 21 and 30.
Do I need my birth time to know if I am a 3?
No. The life path uses only the day, month and year you were born.
Can two calculators give me different answers if I am a 3?
Not if both add the digits of the same date down to one digit: both end on 3. A master number can't hide behind a 3, because 11, 22 and 33 reduce to 2, 4 and 6.
